Are you up to the challenge? Women of the Plano Police Department will discuss career paths and opportunities for females in law enforcement and related fields. There will be a presentation on our selection and hiring process including a demonstration and explanation of the fitness requirements. We will have several interactive displays available during the event. The "Women in Law Enforcement" career seminar will be held on April 28, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Plano-Richardson Police Training Center. The Plano Police Department, in a collaborative effort with the Drug Enforcement Agency, will provide a unified opportunity for the public to surrender expired, unwanted, or unused pharmaceutical controlled substances and other medications for destruction. A National Take Back Day provides a unified opportunity for the public to surrender expired, unwanted, or unused prescription drugs to law enforcement officers for destruction.
Drop-of locations are open from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at these following locations:
Clark High School, 523 W. Spring Creek Parkway
Plano East Senior High School, 3000 Los Rios Boulevard
Plano Senior High School, 2200 Independence Parkway
Plano West Senior High School, 5601 W. Parker Road
Take advantage of this opportunity to safely and legally discard unneeded pills, including pain prescriptions and other controlled substance medications, as these pills can only be accepted for disposal when law enforcement is present.
