Is the cost of Fingerprinting "per card" or for the entire session? Fingerprinting services are available in the lobby of the Plano Police Department located at 909 14th Street and at the Plano Police Department's substation located at 7501-A Independence Parkway. The cost for this service is $10.00 for the first two cards, and $5.00 for each additional card. You must provide the fingerprint card.
How can I get fingerprinted? Fingerprinting may be obtained by coming to Plano Police Headquarters at 909 14th Street between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., or the City of Plano Joint Use Facility at 7501-A Independence between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. There is a $10 fee for fingerprints and you must provide the fingerprint card. The organization or agency requiring the fingerprints should provide you with the card.
How can I get a copy of an accident report? Motor vehicle crash reports are available from the Records Unit and can be obtained for a $5 fee at the Police Department or, as an alternative, crash reports generated on or after October 1, 2007 are available on-line and, in most cases, reports can be accessed within 24 to 72 hours of the incident. On-line crash reports are available for purchase 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. How do I file a police report? Police reports can be filed over the telephone by calling 972-424-5678.
How do I report Child Abuse? You can contact the Police Department at 972-424-5678 (or 911 in emergencies) to report suspected child abuse or neglect. You are also required to contact Child Protective Services at 800-252-5400.
I disagree with the accident report the officer filed, how can I tell my side? Officers respond to accident scenes as report takers. The officers are then required to make a determination as to the contributing factors in the accident. Officers DO NOT determine fault. If you have spoken to the officer about the accident and still have differing opinions you may attach your version of the accident on a 8.5" x 11" piece of paper to the original accident report before it is sent to Austin for filing with TX DPS.

What Happens to the Complaints Filed Against Officers by Citizens? An internal investigation is initialized by the Professional Standards Unit.
Is there a teen curfew in Plano? Persons age 16 and younger are prohibited from public places without adult supervision between the hours of 11:00 P.M. and 6:00 A.M. on Sunday through Thursday and between the hours of midnight and 6:00 A.M. on Friday and Saturday.
